Hanno Koffler is a German actor and musician. His most famous films include Summer Storm (2004), alongside Robert Stadlober and Krabat (2008), alongside Daniel Brühl and Tom Wlaschiha. Both films by German film director Marco Kreuzpaintner. His most outstanding work was in the movie Free Fall (2013), alongside Max Riemelt and Katharina Schüttler, directed by Stephan Lacant. He then starred in an Oscar-nominated film, Never Look Away (2018), directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck and starring alongside Tom Schilling, Sebastian Koch, Paula Beer, and Saskia Rosendahl.

Thomas de Mahy, marquis de Favras was a French aristocrat and supporter of the House of Bourbon during the French Revolution. Often seen as a martyr of the Royalist cause, Favras was executed for his part in "planning against the people of France" under the Comte de Provence. He is known for his last words, "I see that you have made three spelling mistakes," upon reading his death sentence warrant.

François Gabart is a French professional offshore yacht racer who won the 2012-13 Vendée Globe in 78 days 2 hours 16 minutes, setting a new race record. In 2017 he set the speed record for sailing around the globe in 42 days 16 hours 40 minutes and 35 seconds finishing on 17 December. He was sailing singlehanded in the 30 metre Trimaran Macif.
