Rufus King was an American lawyer, politician, and diplomat. He was a delegate for Massachusetts to the Continental Congress and the Philadelphia Convention and was one of the signers of the United States Constitution in 1787. After formation of the new Congress he represented New York in the United States Senate. He emerged as a leading member of the Federalist Party, serving as the party's last presidential nominee in the 1816 presidential election.

Anatoly Vasilyevich Lyapidevsky was a Soviet aircraft pilot and one of first people to be awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. A graduate of the Soviet Air Force Academy, he reached the rank of Major-General of the Soviet Air Force at 1946.

Lajos Jánossy was a Hungarian physicist, astrophysicist and mathematician and a member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. His primary research fields were astrophysics, nuclear physics, quantum mechanics, mathematical physics, and statistics, as well as electrodynamics and optics.

Lars-Erik Skiöld was a Swedish wrestler. He was born in Malmö. He won an Olympic bronze medal in Greco-Roman wrestling in 1980. He also competed at the 1976 Olympics, placing fourth. He won a silver medal at the 1977 World Wrestling Championships.

Rony Mariano Bezerra, better known as Rony Jason, is a Brazilian professional mixed martial artist who competed in the Featherweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. A professional MMA competitor since 2006, Bezerra was also the Featherweight winner of Globo's The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil. His nickname is based on Friday the 13th film character Jason Voorhees; he wears the Voorhees mask on his walk to the Octagon.

Erkka Westerlund was the head coach of the Finnish national men's ice hockey team. He was appointed head coach on November 1, 2004, and his contract ended in May 2007, after winning World Championship Silver in Moscow's World Championship tournament. He followed Raimo Summanen as head coach of the national team.
