Güldal Akşit
Güldal Akşit was a Turkish politician and the President of the Parliamentary Commission on Equal Opportunities for Men and Women. She was elected as a member of parliament for Istanbul in 2002 and re-elected in 2007. She was the Minister of Culture and Tourism in the cabinet of Abdullah Gül and the first cabinet of Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Akşit was the head of the AKP women's branch and interested in women's rights.

Canan Bayram
Canan Bayram is a German lawyer and politician of Kurdish-Turkish origin. She is a member of the 19th German Parliament (Bundestag). She was a member of the House of Representatives of Berlin from 2006 to 2017, when she was directly elected to the Berlin Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg – Prenzlauer Berg East electoral district in the 2017 federal election. She is currently the only Alliance 90/Green member of parliament to hold a direct mandate rather than being elected from the party list.
Mehmet Ali Ağca
Mehmet Ali Ağca is a Turkish assassin and Grey Wolves member who murdered left-wing journalist Abdi İpekçi on 1 February 1979, and later shot and wounded Pope John Paul II on 13 May 1981, after escaping from a Turkish prison. After serving 19 years of imprisonment in Italy where he was visited by the Pope, he was deported to Turkey, where he served a ten-year sentence. In 2007, he converted to Roman Catholicism and was released from prison on 18 January 2010. Ağca has described himself as a mercenary with no political orientation, although he is known to have been a member of the Turkish ultra-nationalist Grey Wolves organization and the state-sponsored Counter-Guerrilla.

Bülent Korkmaz
Bülent Korkmaz, known by his nicknames Büyük Kaptan and Cengaver – literally Great Captain and Warrior, respectively – is a Turkish former professional football coach who last managed Konyaspor. As a player, he was a one club man, playing as a centre-back for Galatasaray for his whole career between 1987 and 2005, winning eight Turkish League crowns, six Turkish Cups, five Turkish Super Cups, a UEFA Cup and a UEFA Super Cup. He retired at the end of the 2004–05 season, having made over 100 appearances for Turkey.
