Maria Magdalena van Beethoven, née Keverich was the wife of the Bonn court musician Johann van Beethoven, and the mother of the composer Ludwig van Beethoven. Her birthplace is now a museum, the Mutter-Beethoven-Haus.

Clemens Wenzeslaus Coudray was a German neoclassical architect. From 1804 to 1816 he worked as court architect in Fulda and from 1816 until his death as Chief Director of the Grand Duchy of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach, producing several significant buildings in the town of Weimar itself. The asteroid 27712 Coudray is named after him.

Clemens Wenzeslaus Brentano was a German poet and novelist, and a major figure of German Romanticism. He was the uncle, via his brother Christian, of Franz and Lujo Brentano.

Rosemarie Fendel (1927-2013) was a German actress and director, who worked on the stage, in film, and in television. She was also a voice actress, and was the voice of notable actresses for German dubs of their work, including Elizabeth Taylor, Jeanne Moreau, and Annie Giradot. She won numerous awards for her work in film and television, and also directed and wrote a few screen productions herself. Her daughter is German actress, Suzanne von Borsody.

Joseph Breitbach (1903-1980) was a French-German playwright, novelist and journalist. He was born in Koblenz and died in Munich. He is best known for his novel Bericht über Bruno.

Karl Weber was a West German politician with the Christian Democratic Union. He served as the Minister of Justice from 2 April 1965 until his replacement by Richard Jaeger in 26 October of that same year. From 1916 till 1918 he served in the First World War, then he studied legal science in Bonn. From 1939 till 1945 he served in the Second World War.
