Georgi Sedefchov Parvanov is a Bulgarian historian and politician who was President of Bulgaria from 2002 to 2012. He was elected after defeating incumbent Petar Stoyanov in the second round of the November 2001 presidential election. He took office on 22 January 2002. He was reelected in a landslide victory in 2006, becoming the first Bulgarian president to serve two terms. Parvanov supported Bulgaria's entry into NATO and the European Union.

Marcel Khalife is a Lebanese composer, singer, and oud player.

Markus Zberg is a retired Swiss professional road bicycle racer; he is the younger brother of Beat Zberg. Zberg retired after a severe fall in the Tour de l'Ain. He was the Swiss National Road Race champion in 2000 and 2008.

Víctor de la Parte González is a Spanish cyclist, who currently rides for UCI ProTeam Total Direct Énergie. He was named in the start list for the 2017 Giro d'Italia. In August 2019, he was named in the startlist for the 2019 Vuelta a España. De la Parte crashed out on stage 6 of the race, being one of four riders to abandon due to a crash.

Wolfgang Karl Ernst Finkelnburg was a German physicist who made contributions to spectroscopy, atomic physics, the structure of matter, and high-temperature arc discharges. His vice-presidency of the Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft 1941-1945, was influential in that organization’s ability to assert its independence from National Socialist policies.
