Yoko Tawada
Yōko Tawada is a Japanese writer currently living in Berlin, Germany. She writes in both Japanese and German. Tawada has won numerous literary awards, including the Akutagawa Prize, the Tanizaki Prize, the Noma Literary Prize, the Izumi Kyōka Prize for Literature, the Gunzo Prize for New Writers, the Goethe Medal, the Kleist Prize, and a National Book Award.
Yoshifu Arita
Yoshifu Arita is a Japanese writer, journalist and politician from the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan. He currently serves as a member of the House of Councillors, and was elected from the National Representation list in 2010. Before he was elected, he was a regular commentator of Nippon Television's The Wide.

Daisuke Shima is a Japanese singer and actor. He is best known for appearing on television in tokusatsu and other dramas, such as Yuusuke Amamiya in the series Choujuu Sentai Liveman, as Shuji Koboku in Tokyo Elevator Girl, as Captain Harumitsu Hiura in Ultraman Cosmos, and as the cafe owner in Kisarazu Cat's Eye.
Kaoru Hasuike
Kaoru Hasuike is a Japanese citizen who was abducted by North Korean spies along with his girlfriend Yukiko Okudo. They were abducted from their hometown of Kashiwazaki in Niigata prefecture on July 19, 1978. Hasuike was a law student at the time. During their captivity, in May 1980, Hasuike and Okudo were married. They had two children: a daughter, Shigeyo, and a son, Katsuya. On October 15, 2002, the North Korean government allowed Hasuike, Okudo and other victims to leave North Korea to visit Japan. Once there, Hasuike and Okudo decided to remain in Japan and to plead for the release of their children, which was eventually allowed in 2004.
