Subodh Kumar Jaiswal is the Director of Central Bureau of Investigation.He is an Indian police officer in the 1985 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer and the former Director General of Police, Maharashtra, succeeding Dattatray Padsalgikar on 28 February 2019. .He was previously the police commissioner of Mumbai, the largest city in India and the seventh most populous city in the world. Jaiswal was with the Research and Analysis Wing (RA&W), India's external intelligence agency for nine years, during which he served as the additional secretary of RA&W for three years.He was the head of the Central Industrial Security Force.
