Hasmukh Adhia
Hasmukh Adhia, IAS is an Indian banker and a former civil servant. He is one of the key persons behind the architecture and roll-out of the Goods and Services Tax & Demonetization scheme announced in 2016. He is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 1981 Gujarat cadre batch who served as Finance Secretary and Revenue Secretary of India. Adhia previously served in several capacities for the Indian and Gujarat governments, including as Financial Services Secretary. He is the present Non-Executive Chairman of Bank of Baroda. A week after the government nominated him chairman of state-owned Bank of Baroda, he appointed as the Chancellor of Central University of Gujarat.

She is the daughter of Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna, a former Chief Minister of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. She joined Bharatiya Janata Party on 20 October 2016.She is elected to the Lok Sabha, lower house of the Parliament of India from Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh in the 2019 Indian general election as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Kiranjit Ahluwalia
Kiranjit Ahluwalia is an Indian woman who came to international attention after burning her abusive husband to death in 1989 in the UK. She claimed it was in response to ten years of physical, psychological, and sexual abuse. After initially being convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison, Ahluwalia's conviction was later overturned on grounds of inadequate counsel and replaced with voluntary manslaughter. Although her submission of provocation failed, she successfully pleaded the partial defence of diminished responsibility under s.2 Homicide Act 1957 on the grounds that fresh medical evidence may indicate diminished mental responsibility.
