Jane Avril was a French can-can dancer made famous by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec through his paintings. Extremely thin, "given to jerky movements and sudden contortions", she was nicknamed La Mélinite, after an explosive.

Roger-Yves Bost is a French show jumping rider. He won a team gold medal at the 2016 Rio Games and finished fourth at the 1996 Olympics.

Claire Voisin is a French mathematician known for her work in algebraic geometry. She is a member of the French Academy of Sciences and holds the chair of Algebraic Geometry at the Collège de France.

Anthony Turgis is a French professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI ProTeam Total Direct Énergie. He was named in the startlist for the 2017 Vuelta a España. In July 2018, he was named in the start list for the Tour de France.

Alphonse Bertillon was a French police officer and biometrics researcher who applied the anthropological technique of anthropometry to law enforcement creating an identification system based on physical measurements. Anthropometry was the first scientific system used by police to identify criminals. Before that time, criminals could only be identified by name or photograph. The method was eventually supplanted by fingerprinting.
