Brigitte Fouré is a French university lecturer and former government minister, a member of the Nouveau Centre and of Société en mouvement ("Society on the move" She is a lecturer in law at the University of Picardie Jules Verne.

Roger Vailland was a French novelist, essayist, and screenwriter.

Jean-Baptiste Lebas was a French Socialist politician, deputy to the National Assembly of France during the Third Republic, who served twice as minister under Léon Blum’s governments. He was mayor of Roubaix and member of the Resistance during World War II.

Jean Alexandre Eugène Dieudonné was a French mathematician, notable for research in abstract algebra, algebraic geometry, and functional analysis, for close involvement with the Nicolas Bourbaki pseudonymous group and the Éléments de géométrie algébrique project of Alexander Grothendieck, and as a historian of mathematics, particularly in the fields of functional analysis and algebraic topology. His work on the classical groups, and on formal groups, introducing what now are called Dieudonné modules, had a major effect on those fields.
