Konstantine Bagration of Mukhrani
Prince Konstantine Bagration of Mukhrani was a Georgian nobleman from the House of Mukhrani. A member of the Russian Imperial Guard, Konstantine fought with distinction and died in World War I - actions for which he posthumously received the Order of St. George, the highest military decoration of the Empire. Konstantine was in a brief but controversial marriage with Princess Tatiana Constantinovna of Russia, a member of the Russian Imperial Family.
Bagrat III of Georgia
Bagrat III, of the Georgian Bagrationi dynasty, was King of Abkhazia from 978 on and King of Georgia from 1008 on. He united these two titles by dynastic inheritance and, through conquest and diplomacy, added more lands to his realm, effectively becoming the first king of the Kingdom of Georgia. Before Bagrat was crowned as king, he had also reigned in Kartli as co-ruler with his father Gurgen from 976 to 978.

Georges Pitoëff
Georges Pitoëff was born on 4 September 1884 in Tiflis, then in Russia, and died on 17 September 1939 in Bellevue, near Geneva, Switzerland. Russian-born of Armenian origins, he was the son of the Director of the Tiflis Theatre. After studying and graduating in Law at Paris University, he became a theatre director and producer, noted for his popularization in France of the works of contemporary playwrights, especially Luigi Pirandello, George Bernard Shaw, Anton Chekhov, Arthur Shnitzler, Henrik Ibsen, and Eugene O'Neill. He was a founding member of the Cartel des Quatre, a group including Louis Jouvet, Charles Dullin, and Gaston Baty, dedicated to rejuvenating the French theatre.
