Kim (Keimpe) Henry Veltman was a Dutch/Canadian historian of science and art, director of the Virtual Maastricht McLuhan Institute (VMMI), consultant and author, known for his contributions in the fields of "linear perspective and the visual dimensions of science and art," new media, culture and society.

Jelle Zijlstra was a Dutch politician of the defunct Anti-Revolutionary Party (ARP) now the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA) party and economist who served as Prime Minister of the Netherlands from 22 November 1966 until 5 April 1967.

Gerhardus "Gerhard" Bernardus Josephus Westermann was a Dutch artist. In 1932 he won a bronze medal in the art competitions of the Olympic Games for his "Horseman". Westermann's work was included in the 1939 exhibition and sale Onze Kunst van Heden at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.

Pieter Egge Huistra is a Dutch football coach and former winger, who currently the head coach at Pakhtakor Tashkent FK in Uzbekistan. Huistra played for the Scottish Premier Division club Rangers from 1990–1995. He left there to play for Sanfrecce Hiroshima in the J. League. In 2001, he began coaching as the head coach for Jong Groningen. He was with them for four years before being named assistant coach of Aad de Mos at Vitesse. He then became an assistant coach with AFC Ajax and was named as their head coach on 24 April 2009. He was then the head coach of FC Groningen for the 2010–11 season. On 30 May 2012 he then became the head coach of the Eerste Divisie club De Graafschap. Finally, on 3 December 2014 he was appointed as the Technical Director of the Indonesia national football team.

Eise Jeltes Eisinga was a Frisian amateur astronomer who built the Eise Eisinga Planetarium in his house in Franeker, Dutch Republic. The orrery still exists and is the oldest functioning planetarium in the world.

Johannes de Jong was a Dutch Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as Archbishop of Utrecht from 1936 until his death, and was elevated to the cardinalate in 1946 by Pope Pius XII.

Lieuwe Westra is a Dutch former professional racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2006 and 2016 for the KrolStonE Continental Team, Vacansoleil–DCM and Astana teams.
