Lee Moon-shuen known professionally as Lee Hoi-chuen, was a Cantonese opera singer and film actor in Hong Kong. He was the father of Bruce Lee, the father-in-law of Linda Lee Cadwell, and also the paternal grandfather of Brandon Lee and Shannon Lee.

Wang Jingwei, born as Wang Zhaoming, but widely known by his pen name "Jingwei", was a Chinese politician. He was initially a member of the left wing of the Kuomintang (KMT), leading a government in Wuhan in opposition to the right-wing government in Nanjing, but later became increasingly anti-communist after his efforts to collaborate with the Chinese Communist Party ended in political failure. His political orientation veered sharply to the right later in his career after he collaborated with the Japanese.

Lee Shau-kee GBM is a Hong Kong business magnate, investor, and philanthropist. He is a real estate tycoon and majority owner of Henderson Land Development, a property conglomerate with interests in property, hotels, restaurants and internet services. In 2019, aged 91, Lee stepped down as chairman and managing director of the company, in favour of two of his sons, Peter and Martin Lee. He retains a role as an executive director.

Wong Fei-hung was a Chinese martial artist, physician, and folk hero. He has become the subject of numerous martial arts films and television series. He was considered an expert in the Hung Ga style of Chinese martial arts. As a physician, Wong practised and taught acupuncture, Dit Da and other forms of traditional Chinese medicine in Po Chi Lam, a medical clinic in Canton (Guangzhou), Kwangtung Province (Guangdong). A museum dedicated to him was built in his birthplace in Fatshan (Foshan), Kwangtung.

Lily Chan, a Chinese singer in Hong Kong. She was born and grew up in Guangzhou. Chan's musical talent was discovered by her choir teacher. By age 10, Chan started recording in the studio and has won numerous singing awards including Champion of the National Children's New Song Competition, the gold prize for solo song in the Guangzhhou Children's Art Flower Show etc.

Cheng Yu-tung GBM was a Hong Kong billionaire with extensive property investment, development and service businesses, hotels, infrastructure, jewellery retailing and transportation interests in Hong Kong, Macau, United States, Australia and other areas. He was considered to be Hong Kong's third richest man at the time of his death.

Yam Kim-fai, also known as Ren Jianhui was a renowned Cantonese opera actress in China and Hong Kong.

Kang Youwei was a Chinese philosopher and politician. He was also a noted calligrapher creating Kang Typeface and prominent political thinker and reformer of the late Qing dynasty. Through his connections, he became close to the young Guangxu Emperor and fervently encouraged him to promote his friends and consequently soured the relationship between the emperor and his adoptive mother, the powerful Empress Dowager Cixi. His ideas inspired a reformation movement, the Hundred Days' Reform. Although he continued to advocate a constitutional monarchy after the founding of the Republic, Kang's political theory was never put into practice as he was forced to flee China for repeated attempts to assassinate the Empress Dowager Cixi. He was an ardent Chinese nationalist and internationalist.
