Richard Esko "Riki" Sorsa was a Finnish pop singer. He started his career in 1974 as the lead singer in the band The Zoo. He represented Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest 1981 with the entry "Reggae OK", a reggae influenced song in Finnish which came 16th. The song was composed by Jim Pembroke, the lyrics were written by Olli Ojala, and it was conducted by Otto Donner. Sorsa released several albums, singing in Finnish, Swedish, and English. Sorsa died of cancer on 10 May 2016.

Tuomas Lauri Johannes Holopainen is a Finnish songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer, best known as the founder, leader, keyboardist and songwriter of symphonic metal band Nightwish. He has also studied jazz and classical styles, but prefers to be influenced by harmonic film music.

Eero "Käkä" Milonoff is a Finnish actor. He graduated from the Helsinki Theatre Academy in 2005, and he works as a freelance actor. In 2008, he was nominated for the Jussi Award for Best Actor for his role in the biopic Ganes (2007) as the drummer and vocalist Remu Aaltonen of the rock band Hurriganes.

Rauno August Aaltonen, also known as "The Rally Professor", is a Finnish former professional rally driver who competed in the World Rally Championship throughout the 1970s.

Fredi, is a Finnish comedic actor, musician, singer/songwriter and television presenter. Domestically he is best known as a founding member of the comedic variety ensemble Kivikasvot. Siitonen chose his stage name, Fredi, after a TV cartoon character, Fred Flintstone from "The Flintstones". In 1965 he recorded his first song, "Roskisdyykkarin Balladi" as Folk Fredi. A year later he dropped the Folk name and was simply known as Fredi. Internationally he represented his country at the Eurovision Song Contest 1967 in Vienna, Austria with the song "Varjoon - suojaan", which received three points and finished 12th of 17 entries. He is also the husband of the former mayor of Helsinki, Eva-Riitta Siitonen. They were married in 1969 and on November 13, 1970, Eva-Riitta gave birth to the late Hanna-Riikka Siitonen, who was a singer and actress. Fredi is also the stepfather of Petri, Eva-Riitta's son from a previous relationship.

Erik Anders Allardt was a Finnish sociologist. Allardt served as professor of sociology at the University of Helsinki between 1955 and 1991, and as chancellor of Åbo Akademi University between 1992 and 1994. He is one of the most well-known and internationally distinguished Nordic social scientists. In 1995, Allardt was awarded the honorary title of akateemikko. He was born in Helsinki, and died there on 25 August, 2020.
