Şivan Perwer is a Kurdish poet, writer, musical teacher, singer, and performer on the Tembûr. Perwer fled Turkey in 1976 due to the Kurdish nationalism and political tones of his music and lived for 37 years in continuous exile until his return to Diyarbakir on November 16, 2013. He still lives in exile to this day. Perwer also holds several honorary doctorates in music.

Maximilian Emanuel was the tenth and youngest child of Duke Maximilian Joseph in Bavaria and his wife Princess Ludovika of Bavaria. Maximilian Emanuel was the brother of Elisabeth of Bavaria, Empress of Austria and Queen of Hungary.

Kurt von der Chevallerie was a German general in the Wehrmacht during World War II who commanded the German 1st Army. He was a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves. Chevallerie retired from the Army on 31 January 1945 and was missing in action since 18 April 1945 near Kolberg.
