Ghanim Oraibi
Ghanim Oraibi Jassim Al-Roubai is an Iraqi football defender who played for Iraq in the 1986 FIFA World Cup. He also played for Al-Shabab.
Saad Abdul-Amir
Saad Abdul-Amir Luaibi Al-Zirjawi is an Iraqi defensive midfielder who plays, and for the Iraq national football team which he earned his first cap in 2010 at the age of 18. Saad started his career in his hometown club Al-Karkh SC. In 2010, he transferred to Northern Iraqi side Erbil SC, spending 5 years at the club where he won the 2011–12 Iraqi Premier League. In 2015, he made his first move abroad, signing for Saudi side Al-Qadisiyah. He moved to Al-Shabab in 2017.
Tariq al-Hashimi
Tariq al-Hashimi is an Iraqi politician who served as the general secretary of the Iraqi Islamic Party (IIP) until May 2009. He served as the Vice President of Iraq from 2006 to 2012. As a Sunni, he took the place of fellow Sunni politician Ghazi al-Yawar.
Ibn Muqla
Abu Ali Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Muqla, commonly known as Ibn Muqla, was an official of the Abbasid Caliphate who rose to high state posts in the early 10th century. His career culminated in his own assumption of the vizierate at Baghdad thrice: in 928–930, 932–933 and 934–936. Unable to successfully challenge the growing power of regional emirs, he lost his position to the first amir al-umara, Ibn Ra'iq, and died in prison. He was also a noted calligrapher, inventing al-khatt al-mansūb and khatt ath-thuluth.

Emmanuel Baba Dawud better known as Ammo Baba, was an Iraqi football player and coach of the Iraq national football team. He scored the first international goal for Iraq in 1957 against Morocco at the 2nd Pan Arab Games in Beirut and later returned to the team as the coach in 1978.
