Taras (von) Borodajkewycz, was a former member of the NSDAP and, after World War II, professor of economic history at the College of World Trade in Vienna. He remained an unrepentant supporter of Nazism after the war and the pro-fascist views he allegedly expressed in his university lectures in the 1960s sparked major student demonstrations in Vienna that resulted in at least one fatality.

David Rubinger was an Israeli photographer and photojournalist. His famous photo of three Israeli paratroopers after the recapture of the Western Wall has become an iconic image of the Six-Day War. Shimon Peres called Rubinger "the photographer of the nation in the making".

Walther Reyer was an Austrian actor. He appeared in more than 50 films and television shows between 1954 and 1997.

Adolf Holl was an Austrian Catholic writer and theologian. He lived in Vienna, where he was Chaplain of the University of Vienna and a lecturer in its Department of Catholic Theology. Because of conflicts with Church authorities, he was suspended from his teaching and priestly duties. He wrote many books, including Jesus in Bad Company and The Last Christian: A Biography of Francis of Assisi.

Günther Matzinger is an Austrian track and field athlete who competes in disability athletics in the T46 category. He won the gold medal for the 800 metres at the 2012 Paralympic Games for his category with a new World Record. Matzinger won a silver and bronze medal at the 2011 World Championships.
