Ida Krottendorf was an Austrian actress. She was married from 1955 to Austrian actor Ernst Stankovski and in the second marriage from 1960 until 1991 to Klausjürgen Wussow. Together they had two children, Barbara and Alexander Wussow.

Wolfgang Perner was an Austrian biathlete. The IOC banned Perner for life from competing in the Olympics as the result of a doping scandal at the 2006 Winter Olympics.

Bernadette Schild is a World Cup alpine ski racer from Austria.

Peter Kern was an Austrian actor, film director, screenwriter, and producer. He appeared in more than 70 films and directed a further 25. He starred in the 1978 film Flaming Hearts, which was entered into the 28th Berlin International Film Festival. In 1980, he was a member of the jury at the 30th Berlin International Film Festival.

Karl van Beethoven was the only son born to Kaspar Anton Karl van Beethoven and Johanna van Beethoven and the nephew of composer Ludwig van Beethoven. He is mainly remembered for being the center of a bitter custody battle between his mother and famous uncle after his father's death.

Stephanie Venier is an Austrian World Cup alpine ski racer, and specializes in the speed events of downhill and super-G.

Archduchess Maria Anna Eleonore Wilhelmine Josepha of Austria was a member of the House of Habsburg who governed the Austrian Netherlands in the name of her elder sister, Empress Maria Theresa.

Brian Laudrup is a Danish former footballer who played as a winger, forward or as a midfielder. He currently works as a football commentator, pundit and analyst on Kanal 5 and 6'eren. Along with former international goalkeeper Lars Høgh, Laudrup manages a football academy for marginalised youth.

Eduard Pernkopf was an Austrian professor of anatomy who later served as rector of the University of Vienna, his alma mater. He is best known for his seven-volume anatomical atlas, Topographische Anatomie des Menschen, prepared by Pernkopf and four artists over a 20-year period. While it is considered a scientific and artistic masterpiece, with many of its color plates reprinted in other publications and textbooks, it has been in recent years found that Pernkopf and the artists working for him, all of them ardent Nazis, used executed political prisoners as their subjects.

Hermann Buhl was an Austrian mountaineer and is considered one of the best climbers of all time. He was particularly innovative in applying Alpine style to Himalayan climbing. His accomplishments include:

• 1953 German–Austrian Nanga Parbat expedition – First ascent of Nanga Parbat, 8126 m (26,660 ft). On the way back from the summit he was forced to stand erect on a rock ledge for the entire night at 8000 m altitude, in order to survive until the following morning.
• 1957 – First ascent of Broad Peak, 8051 m (26,414 ft).
