Germán Garmendia
Germán Alejandro Garmendia Aranis, known by his YouTube channels HolaSoyGerman and JuegaGerman, is a Chilean YouTuber, comedian and writer. With a combined subscriber count between all his channels reaching over 80 million, he is not only one of the biggest Spanish-speaking YouTubers, but also one of the biggest Youtubers of all time. He has produced a variety of songs together with his band Ancud. His book titled #ChupaElPerro was released in multiple stores in Latin America and Spain on 28 April 2016. He was also featured in the Latin Spanish dub of Ice Age: Collision Course as Julian.
Daniel Zamudio
Daniel Mauricio Zamudio Vera was a Chilean man who became a symbol against homophobic violence in Chile following his 2012 murder. On 2 March 2012, Zamudio, a Chilean gay man, was beaten and tortured for several hours in the San Borja Park in downtown Santiago. The four attackers, allegedly linked to a neo-Nazi gang, attacked him after learning he was gay. His death and all the media attention contributed to accelerating legislation against discrimination, as well as opening new doors of acceptance and tolerance of differences in the conservative country.
Isidora Goyenechea
Isidora Goyenechea Gallo (1836-1897) was a Chilean industrialist. She owned and managed the coal mines in Lota and Coronel in 1873-1897 and was at the time regarded as one of the wealthiest people in the world. Her house was in the current one Palacio Cousiño in Santiago de Chile.
Franklin Lobos
Franklin Erasmo Lobos Ramírez is a retired Chilean footballer. Lobos debuted in 1980 for Regional Atacama, and retired in 1995, playing for the same club he started his career with. He was nicknamed El Mortero Mágico. He eventually became a miner and was one of the miners trapped underground for two months in the 2010 Copiapó mining accident. On October 13, 2010, Lobos was the 27th of 33 miners to be rescued.
