Primarily a left fielder in his early career, he has split between left and center field since joining the Mets. A right-hand batter and fielder, he stands 5 feet 10 inches (1.78 m) tall and weighs 220 pounds (100 kg).

Max Griffin is an American professional mixed martial artist. Griffin currently competes in the Welterweight division for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). A professional competitor since 2009, Griffin has also competed for Tachi Palace Fights, where he was the welterweight champion.

In 2019, the former Curva Dry Sac, a corner at the Jerez racetrack in Spain was renamed Pedrosa Corner after him.
