Elena Kazantseva is a Belarusian poet and singer-songwriter who writes in the Russian language. She recorded five music albums with songs on her own poetry and published two books of her poems, "Night City" (1992) and "Concerto " (2002). She sings and plays the guitar and the piano. In 1988, she won Second All-Union festival of song in Tallinn.

Otmar D. Wiestler is a German physician, a professor at the University of Heidelberg and President of the Helmholtz Association. He is not a typical basic scientist, but he successfully entered a number of highly popular fields of clinical research, including cancer research, tumor genetics and, more recently, stem cell research. He focuses on technology transfer of already existing technologies from basic science into clinical use, rather than developing the basic science.

Mirek Topolánek is a Czech politician and business manager who served as Prime Minister of the Czech Republic from 2006 to 2009 and Leader of the Civic Democratic Party (ODS) from 2002 to 2010. Between 2006 and 2009, Topolánek was the member of the Chamber of Deputies (MP) and Senator from Ostrava from 1996 until 2004. After leaving the politics in 2010, Topolánek has been active in the electric power industry.
