Hideo Yamaki is a Japanese jazz drummer and percussionist. He is known for being the long time drummer for the band Toshinori Kondo & IMA. He has also collaborated with Arto Lindsay, John Zorn, Sakamoto Ryuichi, Hosono Haruomi, Robert Palmer and Bill Laswell.

Brian David Ripley FRSE is a British statistician. From 1990, he was professor of applied statistics at the University of Oxford and is also a professorial fellow at St Peter's College. He retired August 2014 due to ill health.

Heiner Goebbels is a German composer, director and professor at Justus-Liebig-University in Gießen and artistic director of the International Festival of the Arts Ruhrtriennale 2012–14.
