He was a delegate to the Chinese National People's Congress.

Waldjinah is an Indonesian traditional singer. She is most known for the song "Walang Kekek", which made Javanese keroncong music known throughout Indonesia. She has also worked with other Indonesian artists, including Gesang Martohartono and Ismail Marzuki.

Bernard Cabane is a French mountaineer, scientist, director emeritus of the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) in ESPCI ParisTech where he worked with Nobel Laureate Pierre Gilles De Gennes and corresponding member of the French Academy of Sciences. He was awarded the Silver Medal of the French National Center for Scientific Research. Expert in colloidal and surface science, wine tannins, polymers and surfactants, and fluid dynamics. In mountaineering, he is known for making the 7th ascent of Mt Salcantay in Peru.

Kunioki Mima is a Japanese plasma physicist. He is known for his contributions to the theory of turbulent transport in plasmas, and in particular the derivation of the Hasegawa–Mima equation in 1977, which won him the 2011 Hannes Alfvén Prize.
