Koço Kasapoğlu, also known as Yorgo or Kostas Kasapoğlu, was a Greek-Turkish football player and manager. He was also nicknamed penaltı kralı because he scored 500 of the 501 penalties he took in his career and is considered the best penalty taker in Turkish football history.

Joel Barcellos
Joel Dias Barcellos was a Brazilian actor. He appeared in 53 films and television shows between 1955 and 1997. He starred in the 1974 film Sagarana: The Duel, which was entered into the 24th Berlin International Film Festival. In 2012 it was reported that he died while swimming, but this later turned out to be false.
Alex Olmedo
Alejandro "Alex" Olmedo Rodríguez was a tennis player from Peru with American citizenship. He was listed by the USTA as a "foreign" player for 1958, but as a U.S. player for 1959. He helped win the Davis Cup for the United States in 1958 and was the No. 2 ranked amateur in 1959. Olmedo won two Majors in 1959 and the U.S. Pro Championships in 1960, and was inducted into the Tennis Hall of Fame in 1987.

Mbaye-Jacques Diop was a Senegalese politician. He served as a Deputy in the National Assembly of Senegal from 1983 to 2004, as Mayor of Rufisque from 1987 to 2002, and as President of the Council of the Republic for Economic and Social Affairs (CRAES) from 2004 to 2007. He was a long-time member of the Socialist Party (PS), but split from the PS to form his own party, the Party for Progress and Citizenship (PPC), in 2000, before merging that party into the Senegalese Democratic Party (PDS) two years later.

Kenneth Eugene Silverman was an American biographer and educator. He won a Pulitzer Prize and a Bancroft Prize for his 1984 biography of Cotton Mather, The Life and Times of Cotton Mather. Silverman, who specialized in Colonial American literature, was a professor of English at New York University until his retirement in 2001.
