Gustavo Gutiérrez Merino is a Peruvian philosopher, theologian, and Dominican priest regarded as one of the founders of liberation theology. He currently holds the John Cardinal O'Hara Professorship of Theology at the University of Notre Dame, and has previously been a visiting professor at many major universities in North America and Europe.

Franciszek Pieczka is a Polish actor. A graduate of the National Higher School of Theatre in Warsaw (1954), he first made his debut in the theatre in Jelenia Góra. He won the award for Best Actor at the Polish Film Festival in 1976 for The Scar.

Jamil Al-Hejailan is a Saudi diplomat, who served as secretary general of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) from 1996 to 2002. He was born in Buraidah, AlQasim region in 1927. He was the ambassador of Saudi Arabia in Germany, Kuwait, and France for 20 years. He served as the first ambassador in history of Kuwait. He brought the first television network to Saudi Arabia. Al-Hejailan was also the first Minister of Information and Broadcasting in the History of Saudi Arabia. He also served as the Minister of Health while also holding the title of Minister of Information and Broadcasting, the only minister in the history of Saudi Arabia to be in charge of two ministries.

Joseph Grafton Gall is an American cell biologist who is noted for studies revealing the details of chromosome structure and function. Gall's studies were greatly facilitated by his knowledge of many different organisms because he could select the most favorable organism to study when approaching a specific question about nuclear structure. He was awarded the 2006 Albert Lasker Special Achievement Award. He was also a co-recipient of the 2007 Louisa Gross Horwitz Prize from Columbia University. In 1983 he was honored with the highest recognition of the American Society for Cell Biology, the E. B. Wilson Medal. He had been elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 1972.
