Raffaele Castielli was an Italian bishop, ordinary of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lucera-Troia. He was ordained a priest on July 9, 1950. He was appointed first bishop of the newly merged Diocese of Lucera-Troia on February 11, 1987, receiving his episcopal consecration on March 25, 1989 from Archbishop Salvatore De Giorgi. Castielli retired as bishop on May 18, 1996.

Willy Maltaite, better known by the pseudonym Will, was a Belgian comics creator and comics artist in the Franco-Belgian tradition. In the genre known in Francophone countries as bande dessinée, Will is one of the young cartoonists trained by Jijé, who made them live and work with him in his studio in Waterloo. He is considered one of la Bande des Quatre, and a founding member of the Marcinelle school.

Rembert George Weakland is an American Benedictine monk who served as Archbishop of Milwaukee from 1977 to 2002. Shortly before his mandatory retirement at the age of 75, it was revealed in the press that Weakland had conducted a sexual relationship with a male associate, Paul Marcoux, several decades before, and that the diocese had paid $450,000 to Marcoux to settle litigation arising from the affair.

Jean Constantin was a well-known Romanian comedian of Greek ethnicity. Constantin was born in Techirghiol, and died in Constanţa.
