Abner Joseph Mikva was an American politician, federal judge, lawyer and law professor. He was a member of the Democratic Party. Mikva served in the United States House of Representatives representing Illinois's 2nd congressional district (1969–1973) and 10th congressional district (1975–1979). He was appointed as a United States Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit by President Jimmy Carter, serving from 1979 to 1994. He served as the White House Counsel in 1994-95 during Bill Clinton's presidency. In his later career, Mikva taught law at University of Chicago Law School, Georgetown Law Center and Northwestern University. He mentored future President of the United States Barack Obama during his early years in law. In 2014 Obama honored Mikva with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Anthony Norman Collins was an English football player, manager and scout, who played as a left winger. He managed Rochdale between 1960 and 1967, becoming the first black manager in The Football League and leading them to the 1962 Football League Cup Final, their only major final appearance.

Aage Birch was a Danish competitive sailor and Olympic medalist. He won a silver medal in the Dragon class at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City, together with Poul Lindemark-Jørgensen and Niels Markussen.

She survived and now educates youths about her experiences. Lévy is a Commander of the National Order of Merit and Officer of the Legion of Honour.

Betye Irene Saar is an African-American artist known for her work in the medium of assemblage. Saar has been called "a legend" in the world of contemporary art. She is a visual storyteller and an accomplished printmaker. Saar was a part of the Black Arts Movement in the 1970s, which engaged myths and stereotypes about race and femininity. Her work is considered highly political, as she challenged negative ideas about African Americans throughout her career; Betye Saar is best known for her art work that critiques American racism toward Blacks. She is represented by Los Angeles based gallery Roberts Projects.

Huang Xuhua is a Chinese mechanical engineer and submarine designer, and was one of the chief designers for the country's first generation of nuclear submarines. He is director emeritus of the Wuhan-based 719 Research Institute of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, and is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. His name was classified until 1987.

Douglas Selph Henry Jr. was an American attorney and Democratic politician. He was the longest-serving member of the Tennessee legislature. He was a member of the Tennessee Senate, representing the 21st district. He served as a state senator beginning with his election to the 87th General Assembly, prior to which he was a member of the Tennessee House of Representatives during the 79th General Assembly.

Aileen Clarke Hernandez was an African-American union organizer, civil rights activist, and women's rights activist who served as the president of the National Organization for Women (NOW) between 1970 and 1971. She was also the first woman to serve on the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
