Pim Lier
Albrecht Willem "Pim" Lier was a Dutch lawyer and jurist. He became well known in 1979 when he was revealed to be the illegitimate son of Prince Henry, the husband of Queen Wilhelmina. This made him a paternal half-brother of Queen Juliana and the half-uncle of Queen Beatrix.

Joseph Hayes
Joseph Hayes was an American playwright, novelist and screenwriter born in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of Harold Joseph, a furniture dealer, and Pearl M. Arnold Hayes. Hayes entered a Benedictine monastery at the age of thirteen, attending St. Meinrad Seminary High School in southern Indiana for two years, but graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis in 1936. He married Marrijane Johnston in 1938 and they had three children: Gregory, Jason, and Daniel. Hayes studied at Indiana University with his wife from 1938–1941.

George McTurnan Kahin
George McTurnan Kahin was an American historian and political scientist. He was one of the leading experts on Southeast Asia and a critic of United States involvement in the Vietnam War. After completing his dissertation, which is still considered a classic on Indonesian history, Kahin became a faculty member at Cornell University. At Cornell, he became the director of its Southeast Asia Program and founded the Cornell Modern Indonesia Project. Kahin's incomplete memoir was published posthumously in 2003.
