Fatih Portakal is a Turkish journalist and TV presenter.

Kevyn James Aucoin was an American make-up artist, photographer and author. In the 1990s, Aucoin was wholly responsible for the "sculpted" look of many celebrities and top models, including Whitney Houston, Cher, Madonna, Cindy Crawford, Liza Minnelli, Courtney Love, Tina Turner, Janet Jackson, and Naomi Campbell. He authored several industry-defining books with makeup techniques including facial contouring, which was relatively unknown in popular culture at the time, but pioneered and used in drag culture and stage makeup for decades prior. Aucoin, often noted as being decades ahead of his contemporaries, is considered to be one of, if not the greatest make-up artist of the modern age.

Anton Nikolayevich Gubankov was a Russian journalist and civil servant. He worked as a television journalist until 2013. He served as the Director of the Department of Culture in the Russian Ministry of Defence from 2013 to 2016. In this role Gubankov popularised the term Polite People. He died in the 2016 Russian Defence Ministry Tupolev Tu-154 crash when he was on his route to Syria with 63 members of the Alexandrov Ensemble with its director Valery Khalilov and 27 others which killed all 92 passengers on board, including Anton.

David M. Sabatini is an American scientist and Professor of Biology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. From 2002 to 2021, he was a member of the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research. He was also an investigator of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute from 2008 to 2021 and was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 2016. He is known for his important contributions in the areas of cell signaling and cancer metabolism, most notably the discovery and study of mTOR, a protein kinase that is an important regulator of cell and organismal growth that is deregulated in cancer, diabetes, as well as the aging process. In August 2021, Sabatini was fired from the Whitehead Institute and Howard Hughes Medical Institute, and placed on administrative leave from MIT following an investigation related to sexual harassment during his work at the Whitehead Institute.

Evan Lloyd Tanner was an American professional mixed martial arts fighter, writer, traveler and adventurer. He once held the UFC Middleweight Championship and was the first American to win the Pancrase Neo-Blood tournament in Tokyo, Japan.

Jean-Pierre Bernès is a French football agent and former football executive. Whilst general manager of Olympique de Marseille, Bernès was involved in the French football bribery scandal.

Bernard Nicolas Thierry Diomède is a French football manager and former professional player. He is the manager of the France U20s. He played as a winger and won the World Cup with France in 1998.

Chen Wen-chen was a Taiwanese assistant professor of mathematics at Carnegie Mellon University who died on 3 July 1981 (aged 31) under mysterious circumstances. After the conclusion of his third year of teaching, he returned to his native Taiwan for a vacation. He was instructed not to leave Taiwan on his scheduled departure date. Members of Taiwan's secret police, the Garrison Command, detained and interrogated him for twelve hours on 2 July 1981, and his body was found on the campus of National Taiwan University the next day. The subsequent autopsy reported his death was due to a fall. Chen's death and the earlier massacre of Lin Yi-hsiung's family are cited as late examples of White Terror dissident suppression activities in Taiwan, although the case remains unsolved and the Garrison Command maintains it had nothing to do with his death. In 2020, the Transitional Justice Commission released a report concluding that Chen was most likely killed by state security agencies.
