John Edward Illsley is an English musician, best known as bass guitarist of the rock band Dire Straits. With it, he has received multiple BRIT and Grammy Awards, and a Heritage Award.

Avril Doyle is a former Irish Fine Gael politician who served as Minister of State at the Department of the Taoiseach from 1995 to 1997 and Minister of State for the Office of Public Works and Environmental Protection from 1986 to 1987.
