Mamiko Takai is a Japanese idol from the eighties, who debuted in 1985 with the J-pop girl band Onyanko Club, and its first sub-group, duo Ushiroyubi Sasaregumi with her co-worker Yukiko Iwai. She quit those two bands in 1987, becoming a solo artist, and released four albums before marrying her producer Yasushi Akimoto and subsequently retiring.

Takehiko Inoue is a Japanese manga artist. He is best known for the basketball series Slam Dunk (1990–1996), which is one of the best-selling manga series in history, and the samurai manga Vagabond. Many of his works are about basketball, Inoue himself being a huge fan of the sport. His works sold in North America through Viz Media are Slam Dunk, Vagabond and Real, although Slam Dunk was earlier translated by Gutsoon! Entertainment. In 2012, Inoue became the first recipient of the Cultural Prize at the Asia Cosmopolitan Awards.

Omar Gutiérrez is an Argentine politician, who serves as governor of the Neuquén Province. He is the former minister of economy of the previous governor, Jorge Sapag. With his victory in the 2015 elections, the Neuquén People's Movement continues ruling the province after 53 years.
