Feleknas Uca was at one time the world's only Yazidi parliamentarian until the Iraqi legislature was elected in 2005. In June 2015, she was elected as a Member of Parliament in Turkey representing Diyarbakır.

Maja Pohar Perme is a former Slovenian badminton player from Olimpija club. She competed at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. Her brother Andrej Pohar also a professional badminton player, and the duo played in the mixed doubles event. She won 33 times National Championships title, 10 in the women's singles, 9 in the women's doubles, and 14 in the mixed doubles event.

Kristina Nicole Groves is a Canadian retired speed skater. She is Canada's most decorated skater in the World Single Distances Championships with 13 career medals in this event. She won four Olympic medals: she won two silver medals at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, in the 1,500 meters and team pursuit, and she won the silver medal in the 1500 m event and the bronze medal in the 3000 m event at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.
