He is a co-founder and executive vice chairman of Chinese multinational technology company Alibaba Group. Born in Taiwan and educated in the U.S., he is a naturalized citizen of Canada. He owns the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and has interests in several other professional sports franchises.
