Zhao Yihuan, also known as Chloe Zhao, is a Chinese actress and model.

Zhao Lei, is a Chinese folk singer and musician. He released the first record "赵小雷" in 2011, which includes the hit song "南方姑娘".

Zhao Tao is a Chinese actress. She works in China and occasionally Europe, and has appeared in 10 films and several shorts since starting her career in 1999. She is best known for her collaborations with her husband, director Jia Zhangke, including Platform (2000) and Still Life (2006). With Shun Li and the Poet (2011), she became the first Asian actress to win a prize at David di Donatello. She received two Golden Horse Award nominations for Mountains May Depart (2015) and Ash Is Purest White (2018). In 2020, The New York Times ranked her #8 on its list of the 25 Greatest Actors of the 21st Century.

Zhao Pu, courtesy name Zeping, was a Chinese politician and strategist during the reigns of the first two Song dynasty emperors, who was instrumental in plotting the seizure and consolidation of power for both of them. Despite several crisis in his long career, Zhao Pu was by far the most powerful politician for most of the early Song dynasty, serving as a chief councilor three times for a total of 17 years. He has been praised for his brilliance in foreign and domestic policies which helped shape Song's Confucian outlook for the next 2–3 centuries. A proud Confucian, Zhao Pu is well known for allegedly claiming that he administered the state with "half the Analects". Confucian historians, however, also note his cunning, avarice, as well as ruthlessness towards political opponents like Lu Duoxun and Zhao Tingmei, all self-serving and un-Confucian traits.

Zhao Xin, was originally a marquis of Xiongnu heritage, who previously surrendered to the Han Dynasty of China.

Zhao Jiwei, born August 25, 1995) is a Chinese professional basketball player who plays for the Liaoning Flying Leopards of the Chinese Basketball Association.

Zhao Tuo or Triệu Đà, was a Qin dynasty Chinese general and first king of Nanyue. He participated in the conquest of the Baiyue peoples of Guangdong, Guangxi and Northern Vietnam. After the fall of the Qin, he established the independent kingdom of Nanyue with its capital in Panyu in 204 BCE. Some traditional Vietnamese history scholars considered him an emperor of Vietnam and the founder of the Triệu dynasty, other historians contested that he was a foreign invader.

Zhao Wei is a legal assistant who was arrested for political activism, and detained in secret by authorities in China. There were reports that Wei was released in July 2016, but these have not been independently confirmed. A report in January 2017 suggests she is being closely monitored by authorities.

Zhao Kuo was a general of the state of Zhao during the Warring States period in ancient China. He lost the epic Battle of Changping between the states of Zhao and Qin.

Zhao Yan is a Chinese researcher employed by the Beijing bureau of The New York Times. He was imprisoned for a three-year period starting 17 September 2004, on charges of fraud, after originally being arrested for revealing state secrets. According to the BBC, he was released on 15 September 2007.
