William Brodrick, 7th Viscount Midleton
The Very Rev. William John Brodrick, 7th Viscount Midleton was an Irish peer and Anglican clergyman, styled Hon. William John Brodrick from 1849 to 1863. Brodrick was the second son of Charles Brodrick, Archbishop of Cashel. Lord Midleton was the Dean of Exeter in the Church of England from 1863 to 1867 and an Honorary Chaplain to the Queen.
William Cleireach MacLeod
William Cleireach MacLeod is considered to be 5th Chief of Clan MacLeod. He was a younger son of chief Iain Ciar and was originally intended to enter the church, as his nickname shows; however, on the death of his elder brother, William Cleireach became the heir to the chiefship. As chief of the clan, he led his followers in attacks against the Frasers and defended his lands against the MacDonalds. He did not live a long life and was said to have been buried on the isle of Iona with his predecessors.
William Henry Young
William Henry Young FRS was an English mathematician. Young was educated at City of London School and Peterhouse, Cambridge. He worked on measure theory, Fourier series, differential calculus, amongst other fields, and made contributions to the study of functions of several complex variables. He was the husband of Grace Chisholm Young, with whom he authored and co-authored 214 papers and 4 books. Two of their children became professional mathematicians. Young's Theorem was named after him.
