Anthony Tyrone "Tony" Thompson is an American professional boxer. He has challenged twice for unified world heavyweight titles, in 2008 and 2012, both times against Wladimir Klitschko. Described by many observers as "awkward", Thompson was considered the gatekeeper of the heavyweight division during the Klitschko Era. Thompson was ranked by BoxRec among ten best heavyweights in the world from 2004 to 2013, reaching his highest ranking of world No.5 in 2006.

After his release in 2015, he played college basketball at Lee College and participated in the 2017 NBA draft, where he went undrafted.
