Robert O'Hara Burke
Robert O'Hara Burke was an Irish soldier and police officer who achieved fame as an Australian explorer. He was the leader of the ill-fated Burke and Wills expedition, which was the first expedition to cross Australia from south to north, finding a route across the continent from the settled areas of Victoria to the Gulf of Carpentaria. The expedition party was well equipped, but Burke was not experienced in bushcraft. A Royal Commission report conducted upon the failure of the expedition was a censure of Burke's judgement.
Robert Kaliňák
Robert Kaliňák is a Slovak politician who was the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of the Interior of Slovakia from 4 July 2006 to 12 March 2018. He is a member of the Direction – Social Democracy party. Kaliňák previously served as Minister of the Interior from 4 July 2006 to 8 July 2010. Kaliňák resigned on 12 March 2018 after the murder of Slovak journalist Ján Kuciak. He left as the longest serving minister in the history of modern Slovakia.

Robert Dane Oliveri is an American former child actor. He is best known for his portrayal of Nick Szalinski in the 1989 Disney film, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, for which he was nominated for a Young Artist Award and a Saturn Award. He reprised the role in the 1992 sequel, Honey, I Blew Up the Kid and the 3D short film, Honey, I Shrunk the Audience! He is also known for playing Kevin, Winona Ryder's younger brother, in Tim Burton's Edward Scissorhands. He and Marcia Strassman, who played his mother in the first and 2nd Honey films, have the same birthday.

Robert Williams Wood was an American physicist and inventor who made pivotal contributions to the field of optics. He pioneered infrared and ultraviolet photography. Wood's patents and theoretical work inform modern understanding of the physics of ultraviolet light, and made possible myriad uses of UV fluorescence which became popular after World War I. He published many articles on spectroscopy, phosphorescence, diffraction, and ultraviolet light.
