Philip of Hesse-Philippsthal was the son of William VI, Landgrave of Hesse-Kassel and Hedwig Sophia of Brandenburg. He was the first landgrave of Hesse-Philippsthal from 1663 to 1721 and the founder of the fifth branch of the house of Hesse.

Philip Heintz is a German swimmer. He competed in the 200 m individual medley event at the 2012 Summer Olympics and was eliminated after the qualifying heats. At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, he competed in the 200 m individual medley. He finished in 6th place with a time of 1:57.48.

Duke Philip Sigismund of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel was a Lutheran administrator of the Prince-Bishopric of Verden and Osnabrück (1591–1623) son of Julius, Duke of Brunswick and Lunenburg, Prince of Wolfenbüttel and Hedwig of Brandenburg.

Philip of Navarre, Count of Longueville (1336–1363) was a younger brother and supporter of Charles II of Navarre, a claimant to the French throne. The son of Philip III of Navarre and Joan II of Navarre, he married Yolande of Flanders in 1353. She was the daughter of Robert of Flanders and Joan of Brittany and the widow of Henry IV of Bar. The marriage was childless, though by his mistress Jeannette d'Aisy Philip had two illegitimate children - Lancelot and Robine. Philip and his brother Charles fought against John II of France in 1353.

Count Philipp II of Hanau-Münzenberg was Count of Hanau-Münzenberg from 1512 until his death. He was the son of Count Reinhard IV and his wife, Katharina of Schwarzburg-Blankenburg.
