Paolo Ferrari
Paolo Ferrari (1822–1889), Italian dramatist, was born at Modena. His numerous works, chiefly comedies, and all marked by a fresh and piquant style, are the finest product of the modern Italian drama. After producing some minor pieces, in 1852 he made his reputation as a playwright with Goldoni e le sue Sedici Commedie. Among numerous later plays his comedy Parini e la Satira (1857) had considerable success. Ferrari may be regarded as a follower of Carlo Goldoni, modelling himself on the French theatrical methods. in 1860 he was appointed professor of History at Modena and afterwards at Milan. His collected plays were published in 1877–1880 in 14 volumes.

Paolo Uccello
Paolo Uccello, born Paolo di Dono, was a Florentine painter and mathematician who was notable for his pioneering work on visual perspective in art. In his book Lives of the Most Excellent Painters, Sculptors, and Architects, Giorgio Vasari wrote that Uccello was obsessed by his interest in perspective and would stay up all night in his study trying to grasp the exact vanishing point. While his contemporaries used perspective to narrate different or succeeding stories, Uccello used perspective to create a feeling of depth in his paintings. His best known works are the three paintings representing the battle of San Romano, which were wrongly entitled the Battle of Sant'Egidio of 1416 for a long period of time.
Paolo Ignazio Maria Thaon di Revel
Paolo Ignazio Maria Thaon di Revel was an Italian politician and fencer. He was the son of Count Vittorio Thaon di Revel and Elfrida Maria Atkinson. He fought in the First World War. He was also Mayor of Torino (1929–35) and Italian Minister of Finance (1935–43) in the Mussolini Cabinet. After the war, he was president of the organising committee of the 1956 Winter Olympics at Cortina d'Ampezzo.
