Omar Ayub Khan
Omar Ayub Khan is a Pakistani politician who is the current Federal Minister for Energy, in office since 11 September 2018. He has been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan, since August 2018. He is the grandson of the former President of Pakistan, Field Marshal Ayub Khan. Previously, he served as a member of the National Assembly from 2002 to 2007 and again from 2014 to 2015. He also served as the Minister of State for Finance in the federal cabinet from 2004 to 2007.

Omar Alghabra is a Canadian politician who serves as Liberal Member of Parliament for Mississauga Centre. He was first elected in 2006 to the 39th Parliament of Canada, then again in 2015 to the 42nd Parliament of Canada. He served as Parliament Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2015 to 2018 and Parliament Secretary to the Minister of International Trade Diversification from 2018 to 2019. Alghabra was re-elected in the 2019 federal election. He was appointed as Parliament Secretary to the Prime Minister and Parliament Secretary to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs. He was also sworn in as a member of the Privy Council in February 2020. In the cabinet reshuffle on January 12, 2021, Alghabra became the Minister of Transport, succeeding Marc Garneau.
