Kenneth M. Jacobs is the chairman and chief executive officer of Lazard since November 16, 2009. Jacobs joined Lazard in 1988. Jacobs was named a Lazard Partner in 1991, and in 2002 he was named Deputy Chairman and Head of North America for Lazard. In this role, he focused on enhancing the firm's business by entering into new markets and adding new practices, such as restructuring, strategic capital structure advice, and private fund advisory. He also focused on bringing in new staff specializing in energy, technology and healthcare.

Kenneth Lerer is an American businessman and a media executive. He was the chairman and co-founder of The Huffington Post, an American news website acquired by Aol in 2011. Lerer is also a managing director of Lerer Hippeau Ventures, and chairman of Betaworks and BuzzFeed.
