Herschel Walker
Herschel Walker is an American former professional football player, bobsledder, sprinter and mixed martial artist. He played college football for the University of Georgia, earned consensus All-American honors three times and won the 1982 Heisman Trophy. He is widely considered one of the greatest college football players of all time, ranked No. 1 by Bleacher Report and Sporting News, and No. 2 by ESPN. Walker began his professional football career with the New Jersey Generals of the United States Football League (USFL), before joining the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). In the NFL, he also played for the Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles, and New York Giants. In 1989, Walker's name became synonymous with the largest trade in league history. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1999.
Herschel Grynszpan
Herschel Feibel Grynszpan was a German-born Jew of Polish heritage. The Nazis used his assassination of the German diplomat Ernst vom Rath on 7 November 1938 in Paris as a pretext to launch Kristallnacht, the antisemitic pogrom of 9–10 November 1938. Grynszpan was seized by the Gestapo after the Fall of France and brought to Germany; his fate remains unknown. It is generally assumed that he did not survive the Second World War, and he was declared dead in 1960. A photograph of a man resembling Grynszpan was cited in 2016 as evidence to support the claim that he was still alive in Bamberg, Germany, on 3 July 1946. He is the subject of The Short, Strange Life of Herschel Grynszpan, a book by Jonathan Kirsch and the novels Champion, by Stephen Deutsch and Everyone Has Their Reasons by Joseph Matthews.

Herschel Jerome Jantjies is a South African professional rugby union player for the South Africa national team and the Stormers in Super Rugby. His regular position is scrum-half.

Herschel Savage is an American former pornographic actor, director and stage actor who has appeared in over 1,000 adult films. In 2002, AVN ranked him 46th on their list of The Top 50 Porn Stars of All Time. He has also been inducted into the AVN and XRCO Halls of Fame.

Herschel Alan Weingrod is an American screenwriter. He has written and co-written a number of Hollywood blockbusters including Trading Places, Twins, Kindergarten Cop and Space Jam with fellow writer Timothy Harris. His parents are of Jewish descent.
