Hamengkubuwono IX or HB IX was an Indonesian politician and royalty who was the second vice president of Indonesia, the ninth sultan of Yogyakarta, and the first governor of the Special Region of Yogyakarta.

Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X is the Sultan of the historic Yogyakarta Sultanate in Indonesia, and is currently also the Governor of the modern Yogyakarta Special Region.

Hamengkubuwono IV, also spelled Hamengkubuwana IV was the fourth sultan of Yogyakarta, Indonesia, reigning from April 3, 1814 to December 6, 1823.
