Georges D'Aubusson de La Feuillade
Georges d'Aubusson de La Feuillade was a French Catholic clergyman under Louis XIV, who served as Archbishop of Embrun (1649-1668), then Bishop of Metz (1669-1697). He also held a number of diplomatic posts and actively supported measures against French Huguenots; he died in May 1697 and was buried in Metz Cathedral.

Georges Eugène Sorel was a French social thinker, political theorist, historian, and later journalist. He has inspired theories and movements grouped under the name of Sorelianism. His social and political philosophy owed much to his reading of Proudhon, Karl Marx, Giambattista Vico, Henri Bergson, and later William James. His notion of the power of myth in collective agency inspired socialists, anarchists, Marxists, and Fascists. Together with his defense of violence, it is the contribution for which he is most often remembered.
Georges Ladoux
Georges Ladoux was an army major and from 1914 the head of the Deuxième Bureau, French military intelligence during World War I. He was responsible for recruiting Mata Hari as a French spy, whom he met in Vittel in 1916. Ladoux was later arrested for being a double agent himself, but eventually cleared of all charges.
