Charles Sheldon Whitehouse was an American career diplomat. He was United States Ambassador to Laos and the United States Ambassador to Thailand.

Charles Joseph La Trobe, CB, commonly Latrobe, was appointed in 1839 superintendent of the Port Phillip District of New South Wales and, after the establishment in 1851 of the colony of Victoria, he became its first lieutenant-governor.

Charles Gordon, 4th Earl of Aboyne. The eldest son of John Gordon, 3rd Earl of Aboyne and Grace Lockhart, he succeeded his father as 4th Earl of Aboyne on 7 April 1732. On his death in 1794 he was succeeded in his titles by his eldest son.

He was the husband of Welsh novelist Hilda Vaughan.

Charles John Gardiner, 1st Earl of Blessington was an Irish earl best known for his marriage to Margaret Farmer, née Power, whom he married at St Mary's, Bryanston Square, London, on 16 February 1818. He was elected a representative peer in 1809, created Earl of Blessington in 1816, and inherited the title of Viscount Mountjoy in 1798. He was present at the trial of Queen Caroline.
