Her case became highly publicized due to the graphic nature of the crime, which included her corpse having been mutilated and bisected at the waist.

Robert Ross, known professionally as Black Rob, is an American rapper who was formerly signed to Bad Boy. He is best known for the 2000 hit single "Whoa!", which reached the Billboard Hot 100.

After releasing two albums with record label 4AD and one with American Recordings, he left the label and formed a new band, Frank Black and the Catholics. He re-adopted the name Black Francis in 2007.
