Adolf Brand was a German writer, egoist anarchist, and pioneering campaigner for the acceptance of male bisexuality and homosexuality.

Adolf IV of Berg count of Berg from 1132 until 1160 and of Altena, son of Adolf III of Berg count of Berg and Hövel. He married (1st) Adelheid von Arnsberg, a daughter of Heinrich count von Rietberg; then (2nd) Irmgard (?) von Schwarzenberg, a daughter of Engelbert von Schwarzenberg.

Heinrich Adolf Wild von Hohenborn was a German officier of the Prussian Army, Generalleutnant during the First World War. From 21 January 1915 to 29 October 1916 he also served as minister of war. He retired 3 November 1919 with the rank of General der Infanterie.

Adolf Ivar Arwidsson was a Finnish political journalist, writer and historian. His writing was critical of Finland's status at the time as a Grand Duchy under the Russian Tsars. The Finnish national movement considered Arwidsson the mastermind of an independent Finland.

Adolf Georgievich Tolkachev was a Soviet electronic engineer who provided key documents to the American Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) between 1979 and 1985. Working at the Soviet radar design bureau Phazotron as one of the chief designers, Tolkachev gave the CIA complete detailed information about such projects as the R-23, R-24, R-33, R-27, and R-60, S-300; fighter-interceptor aircraft radars used on the MiG-29, MiG-31, and Su-27; and other avionics. He was executed as a spy in 1986.
