Abdur Razzak was a Bangladeshi actor and film director. He was dubbed Nayak Raj Razzak, a term introduced by Ahmed Zaman Chowdhury, editor of the magazine Chitrali. Razzak won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actor five times for his roles in the films Ki Je Kori (1976), Ashikkhito (1978), Boro Bhalo Lok Chhilo (1982), Chandranath (1984) and Jogajog (1988). He was awarded the Independence Day Award in 2015 by the Government of Bangladesh. He acted in more than 300 Bengali and Urdu films and also directed 16 films. He is considered one of the greatest actors in Bangladeshi film industry.

ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAwf was one of the companions of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. One of the wealthiest among the companions, he is known for being one of the ten to whom Paradise was promised.

Ali Bin Abdur Rahman Al Huthaify is a Saudi imam and khateeb of the Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, and a former Imam of Quba Mosque. His style of reciting the Qur’an in a slow and deep tune is widely recognised.

Abdur Rashid Kardar (1904–1989), was an Indian actor, director and producer. He is credited as establishing the film industry in the Bhati Gate locality of Lahore, British India.

Abdur Rahman Biswas was a Bangladeshi politician. He was the President of Bangladesh from 1991 to 1996. Biswas represented Pakistan at the United Nations General Assembly prior to the independence of Bangladesh.
