Geoffrey Shawn Fletcher is an American screenwriter and film director. Fletcher is the screenwriter of Precious and received an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on March 7, 2010. He is the first African American to receive an Academy Award for writing. In September 2010, Fletcher began shooting Violet & Daisy in New York City based on his original script as his directorial debut. It was released in a limited theatrical run in June 2013.

Ethan Spaulding is an American animation director, producer and storyboard artist, well known as a crew person on the animated television series Avatar: The Last Airbender. He directed twelve episodes, and held various crew positions on several others. After Avatar concluded, he moved to Warner Bros. Animation, where he served as a producer of the 2011 ThunderCats reboot. Caroline Thompson
Caroline Thompson is an American novelist, screenwriter, film director, and producer. She wrote the screenplays for Tim Burton's films Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Corpse Bride. She co-wrote the story for Edward Scissorhands and co-adapted a new stage version of the film with director and choreographer Matthew Bourne. Thompson also adapted the screenplay for the film version of Wicked Lovely, a bestselling fantasy series, in 2011, but the production was put into turnaround. She directed Black Beauty (1994); Buddy (1997), which she also wrote; and the television film Snow White: The Fairest of Them All (2001), also as producer and co-writer.
