Jece Valadão, pseudonym of Gecy Valadão was a Brazilian actor, director and producer. He became known by his cafajeste roles in films such as Rio 40 graus, (1955) and Os Cafajestes (1962).

Yaşar Yakış is a Turkish politician. He is a former Foreign Minister, and a former ambassador to the UN Office in Vienna, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. From 2002 to 2011 he represented Düzce as an MP in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. He is a member of the Justice and Development Party, the leading political party in Turkey at the moment and he is the chair of the European Union Harmonization Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. Oleksandr Yefremov or Aleksandr Efremov is a Ukrainian parliamentarian and politician. A former governor of the Luhansk Oblast, from 2010 until 2014 he was Party of Regions's faction leader in the Verkhovna Rada. On 14 February 2015 Yefremov was detained on suspicion of "abuse of power under aggravating circumstances". This arrest was effectively ended when his bail expired on 1 November 2015. Yefremov was again detained on 30 July 2016 on suspicion of violation of Ukraine's territorial integrity by helping to create the Luhansk People's Republic and misappropriation of property.

Álvaro Pino Couñago is a former professional road racing cyclist from Galicia who raced between 1981 through 1991 and is most famous for winning the overall title at the 1986 Vuelta a España over favorites Robert Millar from Great Britain, Laurent Fignon from France and Sean Kelly from Ireland. The following year, Pino captured the 1987 Volta a Catalunya and at the 1988 Vuelta, Pino won two stages and the King of the Mountains jersey. In all, he won five stages over his career at the Vuelta a España.

Bakhti Belaïb was an Algerian politician. He was born in Théniet El Had and educated at the Lycée Ferroukhi in Miliana. He served as the Algerian Ministry of Trade in 1982, and served as its Minister twice. He died of cancer in Paris, France.

Abdourahmane Cissé is an Ivorian engineer and economist. He presently serves as the Petroleum, Energy and Renewable Energies Minister of Ivory Coast under Prime Minister Hamed Bakayoko. He was previously Budget Minister of Ivory Coast under Prime Minister Daniel Kablan Duncan.
